USC's Marshall School of Business is a top-10 school, especially if you're interested in Entrepreneurship or Marketing. I'm a non-business student at USC, but I've been hired by a Marshall alum who took a business plan from his senior year and used it to make an actual company.

I'm assuming you are talking about MBA programs, right? Because neither of the schools you mention have undergraduate business programs. The rankings vary from year to year, but the two major ones are BusinessWeek and U.S. News. This year, they ranked the full-time programs as: Business Week: 1. University of Chicago 2. Wharton (University of Pennsylvania) 3. Kellogg (Northwestern University) 4. Harvard 5. Michigan 6. Stanford 7. Sloan (MIT) 8. Berkeley 9. MIT 10.Duke U.S. News ranked them: 1. Harvard 2. Stanford 3. Wharton 4. Sloan 5. Kellogg/Chicago (tie) 7. Darmouth 8. Berkeley 9. Columbia 10.NYU

Public school in USA

Public school in USA?
Can foreign students attend public schools in USA? Or is it restricted only to locals?

Yeah, if you're here on a green card and are properly enrolled, they typically don't have a problem with it.
2 :
im pretty sure you have to be a citizen..
3 :
As long as they are a legal citizen since the USA is strict about that stuff.
4 :
of course they can! They need to register and bring birth certificate, shot records and proof of residency just like other students. My son has 2 foreign students in his 2nd grade class this year.
5 :
Well you would have to move to the United States to go to a public school and be a resident of that city. But you can come to America and take part of the foreign exchange program, where a host family from that city where you want to attend school in houses you for a while, its normally 2-4 weeks and then in return they normally get to come in visit you in your home town, we have foreign exchange students at my school all the time!
6 :
Contrary to some of the other answers, you do not have to be a citizen of the USA to attend public school in the USA. But to answer your question, yes, you can attend school. Now the question is HOW. If your family emigrates to the USA (moves here), then you would simply enroll in public school. You will need some documentation, such as a birth certificate, a social security card or other type of ID, and immunization records. If your family is not moving here, then you can look into exchange student programs. Someone else has already covered that.

How Many Periods Per School day

How Many Periods Per School day?
Im trying to get my head around highschool in the states. How many periods do you get in a given day and how many classes per period? Is it the same amount of periods for every high school in USA?

I'm not so sure about the other highschools, but I just graduated last year, and there were 7 periods a day.
2 :
My high school district is different, though there are others like it. We have four classes a day for about an hour and a half each. Then after a semester we change to four new classes. That way we get a total of 8 classes in one school year. Other high schools have about 6 periods usually and they're for the whole school year. A period is the same as a class basically. You might have English 1st period. 1st period is your 1st class. Hope that made sense... xD
3 :
most of the time there are 6. some people have 7 periods. my school has 8 for some gawdawful reason but one is just an entire hour for lunch so technically it's only 7 learning periods. no there are not the same amount of periods for every high school in the u.s.a and one period equals one class. class is simultaneous with period. there are several periods through a day. two quarters in each semester and two semesters. not too many high schools are year round either but there are a few.
4 :
Generally schools in the states have between 6-8 periods each lasting 45-60 minutes. Many schools also have an optional 0 or A period to get another class in for some people who need then, though this is generally optional. I believe, but am not positive, that most public high schools in the states follow this.
5 :
It varies according to the school. Me, I get eight school periods per day, but that's just my school. Some schools have more or less periods per day, or even have block schedules that make it so that each day has different classes and a different number of class periods. For example, say my school had an ABC block schedule. On an A day, which is usually monday, could have 6 periods with different classes unique to A day. On B day, I could have 8 periods with different classes unique to B day, ect. It's a little hard to wrap your head around until you actually have a block schedule for a few days. Hope I helped!
6 :
There are 8 periods in my school day.
7 :
My school is totally different from everyone else's. We have five periods (which is the same as a class) a day, each exactly an hour long. We have a longer day though, six and a half hours. Hope this helps!
8 :
it really depends on the school you go to. my school has a 7 periods, but 4th period is split into two parts with there being a 4A period and a 4B period. if you have a 4A lunch you'll have a 4B class, or the other way around, so you really get 7 full class periods throughout the day with lunch. 1 class per period. and they are about 45 minutes long.
