Do colleges calculate overall GPA if the first two years of your high school were outside the USA?
I did 9th and 10th grade in India and my 11th and 12th grade here in the US. I am currently applying to colleges. Will colleges in the US calculate my overall GPA including my grades from 9th and 10th grade even if the grading scale was different?

Yes. Since grades and GPAs are calculated differently in most foreign countries, you would have to have your grades converted to the American standards. There are some companies that do this for you, but some colleges have their own evaluation staff.

MIT and Harvard are still the best

There are rankings and most would probably say that Harvard GSD is still the best. I would suggest you look at state schools. If you can get residency in that state you can save a lot in tuition. Top schools in this category would be UIUC, UCLA, Berkeley, Michigan, UT-Austin. The reason being is that you won't get paid any better if you go to a private school, and I don't see much advantage to the network you could potentially build. Overall architecture is a bad profession and you should consider something else. You will have to get a Masters and work for 3 years minimum before you're licensed. You will work long hours and get paid relatively little. If you never start your own firm (which is not easy), you will have to live a very frugal life and will not have time much time for family regardless. If you think you have the energy and talent to make it big, you should take that talent and direct it into something else that will give you more satisfaction and financial reward, while allowing you have time for things outside of work. As an architect your work will be your life.

The Hebrew university was rated 63rd, the Tel Aviv university 106th, the Technion 154th and the Ben Gurion university 180th (out of 300 universities) in the QS World University Rankings - Life Sciences & Biomedicine, as of 2009. For comparison of the Ben Gurion university to American universities with a medical program, according to this list, you should pick either the university of Virginia or the Ohio state university. I believe I chose the right subject for the ratings, but have a look for yourself.

At what age do you graduate from school in the USA?
At what age usually do people graduate from high school in the USA??? 17?? 18??

depends generally most people are 18 with alot of them being 17 and there are some that started late so are 19 when they finish...not to mention the people that have failed a grade.

It depends sometimes they are 17 or 18 or even as old as 19 depending on when they were born or whether they were held back a grade or not. When I graduated High school I was 18. Hopefully this helps.
