How can I enter the medical school in USA?
Hi. I am a Korean student who is about to enter the college in the Philippines. But I wanna go to the medical school in USA after I graduate here. I have 1 week to choose a major. There are 'biology', 'nursing' and 'medical technology' for the premedical course here and 'medical technology' major is one of the most popular, hardest and best subject here and I'm qualified to all the majors here. Is 'medical technology' bad in America? If I choose a proper major, What other things can I prepare for entering the medical school in USA? Please help me... TT I heard that I need to study in USA or Canada at least 1month. Does it mean that I need to transfer the school in undergraduate school? If it is, what shall I do? Please help me... u must still have a bacherlor's degree - prerequisite for medical sch. pl write to the university u wanna go to later in usa and ask them the same questions. show them your results. usually american medical uni accept american bachelor's and philippines degree is still iffy! so u hv to go for exams etc. so far yur subjs are good ones. so make sure u get good grades. med tech is not bad - the big cities are very advancced. only small towns, rural ones are backward! all the best

What can you tell me about High School in USA?
Hi guys, well i'm gonna write a book. It will take place in USA (exactly in New Jersey), so I need a bit infarmation about high school in USA, cos it's complitely different from italians. So... How long do you go to school? From september to june? I know that students often atten lessons until the afternoon... so you go to school from ? in the morning to ? in the afternoon? I've never understood, for example you have some schoolmates in the english class, but then you go math class and change schoolmates? The last question: you attend the first year at 15 and the last at 18? If you can say me something particular... write me! Please, answer... it could seem a stupid quest, but it's important to me!

yup september to june (some may even go august to june) my high school starts at 7:13am and goes to 2:10pm they mix up the classes so people have chances to meet more new people with the same interests at themselves most people are 14 entering high school and 18 I'm only entering high school for the first time next month but from my knowledge I know that it's a great way to make friends and prepare for your future, also my high school is a "Park" because it is 3 schools and people go to all of the schools, not just one, so its very unique =]

1. School usually goes from early September until early to mid-June. Some schools start in late August. 2. I go to school from 8 AM until 2:40 PM. Of course, many students have extracurricular activities/sports after school that last for a few hours. And then usually between 1 and 5 hours of homework when you get home. 3. Every day in my high school we have 6 separate classes. Each class lasts about an hour, and you walk to a separate classroom for each class with 6 minutes of passing time between each. Because everyone else has a divided schedule like this, you can have different people in every class, but usually some of the same people have the same classes with you. For example, my first 3 classes might be Spanish, Chemistry, and History, respectively, but Susie's might be Psychology, Chemistry and English. So Susie and I would be in Chemistry together but not the other 2 classes. 4. It changes depending on what state you live in, but where I live you start your freshman year when you're 14 or 15, and you graduate when you're 18. Good luck on your book!!

let me just start by saying americas school system is very messed up, and our government isnt doing anything to fix it. ive gone to public schools all my life. okay, so elementary in some places goes from kindergarden (about 5 years old) to 5th grade, (about 10-11) but my state's elementary goes up until 6th grade, then jr high for me went from 7th grade (13 yrs old) until 9th grade (15yrs). so for my state, highschool goes from 10th grade (about 16 yrs old) to 12th grade (about 18). but for most schools they start highschool at 9th grade and go until 12th. and my school starts from 8 in the morning, until 2:30 in the afternoon. my school is on something called a block schedule. where we have a total of 8 classes. and theyre split up, so we have 4 classes each day. the classes last about an hour and a half i think. we get a half an hour for lunch after the second class of the day. and we get 5 minutes inbetween classes, to get to our next class. we all get to choose the classes we want to take. we sign up for those classes the previous year. for each class, the students dont stay the same, because everyone has different classes. what happens, is each teacher just teaches one subject, the same lesson all day. they stay in the same room. and the students move classes. so theirs a different teacher and different classroom for each subject. so the students that are in your class change because everyone has different schedules.. um, i dont know what else there is. and sorry if you already knew a lot of that, i just wasnt sure what you already knew or not. oh, and my school starts in mid august (next monday) and ends on the last day of may.

How do I get into a school in the USA
How do I get into a school in the USA?
I'm in Australia, but am moving solely to the States. I would like to further my education, but know nothing about it? What information is needed? Do I need legal guardians? Do I need a green card? I am 16, and this is what I have decided =) Any information, websites, etc. will be greatly appreciated!! Cheers Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if your going to live in the country im 99% sure you will need a green card. You cant really live on your own her as your not an adult in the eyes of the state till 18. and you have a fucking awesome name... its the reason im answering your question.

I would start by finding a school you're interested in attending. You can do this by researching on the web. The University web sites always end in .edu - So when you find something on a search engine, you can click around on sites like that. When you actually find out you like, you can always come visit to make sure it's where you want to be for four years or longer. You can also have the schools send you information packets and applications. I don't think you would need legal guardians, but you would need a green card that I think would be good until you graduate or stop going to school. The college I went to had tons of students from China and Africa, that come over here for school. If you're looking for something smaller with a beautiful campus, and lots of activities on campus, so you wouldn't need a vehicle, you should check it out! They give a lot of scholarships also. They also have residential colleges, with classes in the dorms, and honors college, if you're looking for more of a challenge. (Just a place to start looking)... :) Good luck!

Reentry to USA from Canada with violation of Status in record but reinstated to F1 and still go to school...?
i have been going to school in US for 5 years now, 4 year ago i had a problem with school cause i was dropped from a class by mistake and when out of status. i had t apply for reinstatement, i asked some fiends and they told me to talk so some dude, his wife is an immigration lawyer. i went and talked to his but he asked me to work for him for couple weeks to cover one of his employees meanwhile he can talk to his wife and help me do reinstatement. However, things did not go right and i was picked up from his place working this after working only one day with him. i was put in removal procedure for working out of campus which i haven't had knowledge of at the time. All what i knew is that we can work during summer time after a year going to school in USA. i got my status back as F1 student 3 months later but i m still in the removal procedure until this day because the case is not closed yet. i went to talk to the immigration office about it and all what i got from them is that my case is not in the system but there is always this removal procedure thing because my reinstatement was from CSI and need to be approved by a immigration judge. i m still in my F1 status since then and never had any prob with school but i want to leave US for couple weeks to Canada but my visa just got expired 2 weeks ago. If I leave to Canada with my expired Visa, my I-20 and my I-94, can I come back under The Automatic Visa Reevaluation process or will I be refused the reentry to USA again to finish school?? Thank you

you will most likely be denied entry get used to it - you can never visit USA again better to go to school in Canada - US degrees are not always good in Canada.
