I heard the story a long time ago, and have believed until now. I heard the drugs is illegal in our country, but not in the USA. It may be a marijuana, or something like that. Actually, I do not distinguish any illegal drug's name and have no knowledge of it. However, I have considered it that provided it was a true story, none of their parents do not want their children attend the school because it seems not going to learn things, but going to play with or use drugs. It is very dangerous! It means even the public school fee is free, only a few students attend to it. I wish anybody answers who attended or attend a public school in the USA.

What are you saying? if the question is (is it okay to use drugs in schools) it is not. Drugs like marijuana are illegal in the USA, however that does not stop people from using them. There is a drug problem in some schools across the nation, however it is still illegal.

Most children in the USA go to public school. Some (usually older students) experiment with drugs just as they experiment with sex. In the USA Marijuana is used by a lot of older students ages 15-18 usually. Marijuana IS illegal in the USA but in some areas of the country it is becoming legal for several reasons. Some students also experiment with other more powerful drugs such as cocaine (White powder), mushrooms, and acid.

I went to public schools and have never used drugs. So did my sister. So did most of my friends. It's just like any other school... some kids use drugs and some don't (and the ones who do usually are not stupid enough to do so on school grounds). The vast majority of students in the US attend public school, regardless. Private schools are expensive, and most of them are hard to get into (mostly because they have a limited number of openings)... and since education is a legal requirement for minors in this country, public school or home schooling is the only option available to 90% of the population.

Sadly it is true. I have stumble upon a student, a classmate of mine, who is sophomore, and was high because he smoke weed. Sometimes, you are able to smell them or find them lying on the floor. You will also find some smoking or doing drugs in the restroom, disregard of age. However, not all does it. Some do, some dont. It is just the choice to do it or not.4C

Most high school students, whether in the U.S. or Canada, will experiment with drugs at some point. I don't think it's a problem isolated to American high schools, but the thing to remember is that it's a small percentage of students who continue to use illegal drugs, and end up hooked for life. The majority may use drugs a time or two, then decide that it's not for them.
